STEVIA (SUGARLEAF)

4770168336025

Perennial, 10–16 times sweeter than sugar, 60–80 cm height plants. Leaves can be added to tea, coffee, compote, pastries – anything that can be sweetened. The plant has almost no calories and is good for diabetics. Grown in the rooms, in balconies in summer. Does not overwinter outdoors. Install additional lighting for stevia grown on the windowsill in late autumn and winter, to create favourable conditions for growth.
Small seeds, germination is complicated, and takes long. It is crucial to create optimal conditions for germination. Maintain optimum moisture, not excessively high and not too dry, to make seeds germinate. Seeds are small, not covered with soil after sowing. 4–5 plants will grow from 10 seeds. Use nitrate fertilizers moderately, as they “reduce” the sweetness of leaves.
10 seeds will be enough for 4-5 pots, one plant per pot.
